A Year from my Window

In this soft and poetic film by Jason Rodi, witness a year go by from a single window that looks upon a tree.  Through rain and snow, it endures with grace, and bears the scars upon its face.  With sounds by Jeremy Young, and piano by Quentin Noël Bourbeau, let the seasons carry you home.

The tree outside my window speaks to me
a steadfast witness to the passing year.
Through rain and snow, it endures with grace,
and bears the scars upon its face.

When Winter comes, it stands alone, a silent sentinel.  Then Spring, a symphony of green, and birds alight upon its branches.
Autumn brings a riot of gold and rust, as acorns fall upon the ground, a muse on life's great cycle, ever up and down, 'til winter wind begins again to blow.

Oh, how I envy this tree's quiet strength,
Its patient wisdom and unyielding form.
May I, like it, endure the changing lengths
Of seasons, and weather every storm.
